What is the best bank to consolidate student loans with?

I’ve just recently graduated law with 120k of college loans, both private and federal. It’s a crazy sum but I figured being a lawer graduate I should be able to pay it off quite easily. I’d like to find out a way to consolidate my college loans and hopefully lock in a low interest rate and a reasonable repayment plan. Does anyone have any good advice on which bank I should use and on how to go about consolidating student loans? I’ve been looking around on the net but couldn’t find a satisfactory deal so if there is anyone that has just recently consolidated his/her loans I would love to hear from you. Thank you for your advice in advance!

Hmm.., are any banks consolidating at present? I thought all that was put on hold because of the recession. You might get a better deal with private companies than with a bank.

Citizens would have to be my recommendation. At least they help you and explain everything so you know exactly where you stand and how your student debt consolidation will help you. Best advice I can give is to shop around and meet few consolidation lenders. Make an informative decision!
